Much Love.

Todays bar-b-Q was a blast. Much Thanks to Valeisha Ellis and the whole gang from Above and Beyond. It was a joy to have you. Hope to do it again soon. I saw a great deal of team sportsmanship as well as love and charity.
Being developmentally challenge doesn't stop people from learning how to groove neither have a sense of humor. Blessed are those who have learned this. The only difference with them is that we can't get away with the shallow habits we have built. To communicate with them you have to stop and give all your focus. If you do that you find the real person behind the stutter and the slurs; and they are precious.
I think I'm getting a little emotional, so I'll stop. Thanks again to everyone who helped make today a wonderful get to gether.

Taking It To Another Level!

Wow! Youth Sunday was wonderful. I am totally excited about our teenagers and really enjoy watching what God is doing in them. It seems that everyone was challenged to take their commitment to serving the youth to another level, including myself. I see so many others out there and I wonder how can we reach those we are not reaching to now.
But there is one thing I didn't get to say yesterday but that I meant to. Our current parents are some of the "brave"est parents that I've been around. I love you all and I am your greatest fan. You are in middle of a fierce battle and I really enjoy watching how you all team up, help, and encourage one another. I hope to be as great a parent when my kids are here. Thank you for being a great example for me, because your model is for future parents like me.
I only hope that what I can do will help produce the champions in your children that you have labored so many years for.

I love you all.
Lets take it to another level together.'
