Our children are a true gift and miracle from God. We have been given the distinct honor and duty of raising them to be godly people in the Kingdom of God. Though our culture thrives on finding shortcuts and more efficient ways of performing certain tasks, there is no offer for this one. The mission of raising our kids is not about efficiency, and there are no shortcuts. It’s minimum 18-year commitment of praying, guiding, persevering, listening, disciplining, and seeing them trained to be heroes in the faith.
The cost is huge, decades of time, thousands of dollars, personal time and opportunities, and of course some hair. However, the cost of the alternative is greater. We are mandated to multiply and fill the earth with righteous seeds. The great news is we are all in it together. I’m glad I can help you who have teens.
